Yes, really.
RYFFC is a new age digital media company that exists for the intersection of news and social media. The heart of RYFFC is our mobile application. In it, we have developed the next generation platform for the community to consume, generate, and most importantly engage in the news of the world around them.
In this, we have answered the question posed at the beginning of the information age, “What does the local newspaper look like in the 21 st century?” All while introducing cutting edge, state of the art anti-cyberbullying techniques and community-based content moderation.
Here’s the WHY,
because intention matters.
RYFFC was created because we felt there was a hole in the social media space. In the past, Ryffers often found themselves at a crossroads of not really fitting into the pre-existing social medias out there but still wanting to be social. One day a fellow Ryffer noticed a pattern to their social media habits, they would take articles, send them to friends and family, and “Ryff” on them; in essence, adding their own take, their own perspective, their own opinion on the subject matter. Friends and family always seemed to give their take in return. Thus a unique and special connection was being made. Once we realized how much fun that was and how it encouraged social interaction, we decided to make an app for that. And RYFFC was born.

We were tired and frustrated with the current social medias out there. There were a few people making the decisions for you! At RYFFC, we want YOU to make the decision.
It started with a text message to Dad.
“The frustration with current social medias are real. One day I was texting my Dad an article about my favorite beloved Minnesota Vikings. They were not doig so well. They are always not doing so well. With the article, I sent him a quick text with my frustrations. I did this often with my Dad, but not just with him with other friends as well. These short thought also known as a Ryff was the key to all of these text, This is how RYFFC began.”
And it led me
to creating RYFFC!
“So, I had the idea now what? I never built an app before. I didn’t know where to start, until one day I started doodling on a paper what I was thinking it could look like. The main concepts were on that paper. The Ryff was the first idea. Voting, Self-Moderation, and the feeds were also on that paper. Now that I had some core ideas sketched out, I brought my friend and wife onboard to help me design what would eventually become the RYFFC app. Bringing in other minds brought up some of the other unique RYFFC features and ideas like the Ryff Back System, Citizen Reporter, and many others. Like any creative process, there were more ideas that didn’t go anywhere than what made the final cut. We eventually were able to bring the designs to life as our team began to grow with people who were able to help build the app out.”

“I’m trying to make a dent in the Universe; trying to make a world a better place.” A serial entrepreneur and visionary leader with multiple successful exits. A physician-trained MBA from Vanderbilt Owen School of Management and over two decades of clinical experience. His wife told me that he could no longer go to school so he figured its time to challenge himself with making an app, An app that can make a difference. He has the business capability it just took organizing the right team to help. He is recognized for aligning technology with clinical needs, building dedicated teams, and optimizing processes, Josh bridges his business and technology acumen to drive impactful change. Angela Gapp

“Growing up I was always given the ability to state my side of the story, my thoughts, my feelings. I feel we have gone away from that and think it is important that everyone can tell their story, EVERYONE!” Angela is a seasoned leader with an illustrious 30-year career marked by scaling and successfully exiting multiple businesses. She would tell you her biggest accomplish comes with being a wife and a momma to 4 childeren. Angela’s favorite thing to do to date when she is not busy being momma and co-founder is to spend time with her puppy Charlie. She wears many hats at RYFFC but is currently leading the Marketing team. Angela continues to drive excellence in the tech industry, making an indelible mark on every endeavor undertaken.
